Models Own: Lemon Meringue

Ooooooo!!!!  I have to say I was wary about this color.  I know how horrid most yellows are to apply and they can look really weird.  Well not this one.  It was pretty streaky at first, but overall this had fairly good coverage.  This is 3 coats Models Own Lemon Meringue with 2 coats Seche Vite in shade.  I like these bottles because it gives you that giant white thing to hold onto to paint with.  Makes it easier for me.  The brush is pretty good too, it's the plain round one, but it serves it's purpose.  I love how pastel this color is.  Not too harsh, but still definitely yellow.  I got tons of compliments on it as well.  Very summery, or springy too.  These would make good Easter themed nails.

Full sun.  Love, love, love it!

OPI: Under My Trench Coat

I purchased this color a while ago in Sephora.  I loved it in the store because it's one of those taupy grey shades.  But then it sat in my bin and I kinda forgot about it.  I recently went away to NC for a few days and had to change my mani when I got back.  I didn't feel like doing anything really, and when I sat there staring at my colors, this one jumped out!  This is 3 coats of Sephora by OPI Under My Trench Coat with 2 coats Seche Vite.

Application was pretty good, but it was a bit sheer.  After 3 coats, I couldn't see VNL in normal light, but in the car one day I saw all the streaks and yuckiness.  Oh well.  I love the taupy color and the subtle gold shimmer as well.  It's a really pretty color.  It's looking more green on here than it is in real life.  And it wore well, I left it on for a good 4 days and only had slight chipping.

BTW, I linked the polishes to where they can be purchased online.  I think I'll do that from now on.

Orly: Green Apple

I love this color.  This is 3 coats of Orly Green Apple with 2 coats Seche Vite.  This is a bright yellowish green, but definitely more green.  Very springy.  Application was fairly good, but it was a tad streaky.  I have some tip wear after wearing it all day at work, but it's not horrible.  I attempted to stamp some white flowers, but they came out like crap, so I took it off.  I like it plain, it's vivid.  Got a few compliments on it too, which is always nice.

Sally Hansen HD: LCD

I really tried to capture the blue flash in this one, but I couldn't get it.  This is 4 coats Sally Hansen LCD, from the HD line, with 2 coats Seche Vite.  Application was pretty good, but this is very sheer.  I still had VNL after 4 coats.  But it went on smooth and is very very pretty.  I liked the blue flash it had, made it seem like it wanted to be purple.  Not sure why I couldn't get it to show.  The one shot has a hint of it, but it was hiding.  I also drew on some flowers with Essence Nail Art striper in Silver Surfer.  Overall, I liked this mani.

Also, I feel like my life is falling apart.  So many things have gone wrong lately.  I am afraid to do anything just because it might go wrong too.  I hate feeling depressed.  I've been there before and it sucks big time.  I am really hoping that things will start looking up.  I need happiness in my life.  Someday... I hope... it will come.

Nfu-Oh 61

Ok, so let me just start out saying... I totally didn't listen to you girls about this polish.  I heard everyone saying you can't use regular base coat... but I still did anyway.  Oh man, was that a mistake.  This application was AWFUL!!  And then I had horrible chipping after just a day... so disappointing.  But pretty.

I tried a bunch of different angles to get the holo greatness to show up.  Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day and I had to put Seche Vite on to keep it from chipping, so I dulled out all the greatness.  Anyway, this is about 3 coats of Nfu-Oh 61, the silver holo.  I put some sticker jewels on top to make it more interesting.  However, the chipping was crazy and even with Seche, I couldn't save it and it was only on for 2 days.  Blah.  It went on like a streaky mess, which is apparently from the base coat, even though I use a sticky one... Nail Life Gripper (from Sally's).  If I attempt this again, I will not use a base coat and see how it goes.  Until then, I'm very disappointed.  Oh well.

Wet 'n Wild: Candy Apple Twist

Oooooo!  I picked this up for cheap at the drugstore and couldn't be happier with it!  This is 3 coats Wet 'n Wild Candy Apple Twist with 2 coats Seche Vite.  Application was very smooth and easy.  This is a bit sheer and I can still see a bit of VNL, but it's not horrible.  This is a gorgeous coral red.  Bright as heck too!  I love it.  To me, it looks like the Eyeko Coral Polish, but I don't own that to do a comparison.  What do you think?  I stuck a fimo apple on my thumbs.  I was going to put apples on all my fingers, but they looked too big on the pinky, lol.  I picked them up at Sally's on sale recently.  Too cute.  This is definitely an eye-catching color tho.
