I wanted this sooooooo badly. I wasn't sure really what color it was. Honestly, I'm still not sure. Who the hell cares? It's awesome! It's color is awesome. I hereby name this color awesome. Carry on.
Ok, so ignore the fact that I didn't clean up. This is 3 coats of awesome... I mean Models Own Utopia. It applied like buttah and coverage was great. I just wasn't doing well and made it streaky so I needed 3 coats. I could have done 2 if I'd tried harder.
Seriously, what color is this? Pink? Purple? Beige? Marshmallow? Whatever, I stand by awesome.
I added some Orly Etoile on top to give it some shimmer. I think it turned out super pretty. So if you have an awesome dress, wear this awesome polish with it! HAHA

Models Own Beth's Blue
I have to say... I absolutely love this color! I love Models Own polish in general. But this color is just so pretty!
This is 2 coats of Models Own Beth's Blue. You can't really tell, but I topped it with a coat of Nfu-Oh 40 for some flakies. Then I added some interest with LA Colors Silver stripes. I loved this mani even though it's so simple!
You can see the flakies a bit better in this shot, but not really. It wasn't much better in real life either. But how awesome is this color? It's a greyed out light blue but not so gray that it doesn't look blue. I don't know, it's just so pretty!
Application was amazing. Very smooth, good coverage, good wear. If I wanted to leave it on, it probably could have lasted a week. But I'm just not that patient, lol. I would definitely recommend this brand and this color.

Night Sky
This mani is so dark and pretty. I love the shimmer... you can get lost in it!
This is 2 coats of Models Own In the Navy topped with 1 coat of CND Sapphire Sparkle on top. I added some stars and moons to finish it off. Both polishes applied like a dream. The Models Own has great coverage and smooth application. CND effects pack a good amount of "effect" in each stroke of the brush, hah. When I first used one, I thought it was going to be very subtle, but it's really not. In some cases, the effect can change the whole color of the polish, but not so much here. It was a little bit lighter, but pretty much the same shade. I love this combo!
So pretty!! What happened to the moon on my ring finger? Who knows, lol. Whatever, the rest of it looks awesome! hahaha.

Frenchy Fun
Hehe, I love this one! I don't know why, it's so simple, but it's just so pretty!
I used Dermelect Makeover as my basecoat. The one coat of Sally Hansen Black Out on the tips and topped with one coat of Models Own Mixed Up. I used LA Colors silver to add a stripe on the bottom and added a few holo silver hearts for bling. The Dermelect is a treatment base coat. I just started using it, but it's supposed to help fill ridges and grow nails. The Models Own Mixed up is actually all glitter. It's a ton of black glitter with some holo glitter thrown in. It's really cool looking.
Pretty! Hope you like it too!

Models Own Jade Stone
There is just something about Models Own polish. For the most part, they are so easy to apply, have great opacity... I just love them. So I had to pick up a few more when they had the 50% off sale! C'mon, that's a crazy deal! For some reason, I got a bunch of pastel colors, haha. But this one was the one I was really looking forward to.
This is 2 coats of Models Own Jade Stone. It's so creamy and delicious! This applied like a dream. Not too thick or too thin, great coverage. I like these brushes, they are easy to handle and control. Another thing I love about Models Own is the wear. I had no trouble with chipping on this.
This is full sun. Looks very minty in this pic. It is minty green in some light, more blue... and in other light it's more yellow and like a true green. I like that aspect too. Makes it more interesting.
Indoors, a little less minty in this shot. I still kind of want to eat it tho, haha. Love this color and application. Everything about it is just bliss, hehe.

Going Batty
I picked this color because it was close to orange, but far enough on the peach side to still be subtle. I liked this mani, but it really didn't scream Halloween. I guess it was a little too subtle for me, lol.
This is 2 coats of Models Own Peach Sherbet. I used Sally Hansen Black Out to stamp on the bats, spider and web from my Bundle Monster plate. I added a coat of glitter to make it less boring, haha. The thumb looks the best in my opinion. But I think that's because I have a hard time seeing the bats since they're small.
I absolutely love Models Own polish. It applies like a dream and covers beautifully. I loved this color. I will admit it's probably better suited for spring, but I loved it anyway. And from far away it just looks cute, not scary and batty, lol.

Models Own: Purple Grey
To Chanel or not to Chanel... lol. This is the rip off of Chanel Paradoxal. I lurve it. This is 2 coats Models Own Purple Grey and one coat CND Amethyst Sparkle. Models Own polish is gorgeous by itself, but add in the CND effect and WOW! I love the application on both of these. The Models Own Purple Grey is very pigmented and gave nice even coverage. The effect is nice and saturated so you only need one coat for that shimmer to pop! I love the fact that the shimmer barely changed the color of the Models Own as well. It just made the whole thing come to life.
Here's a better shot of the shimmer. Sooooo pretty! Love, love, love. I think I said this in a comment... but I kinda wish I had interchangeable hands and I could just change them as often as I like. Haha. It would be fun. Anyway, I love this color. I would definitely wear this again. So simple, but so pleasing!

Models Own: Lemon Meringue
Ooooooo!!!! I have to say I was wary about this color. I know how horrid most yellows are to apply and they can look really weird. Well not this one. It was pretty streaky at first, but overall this had fairly good coverage. This is 3 coats Models Own Lemon Meringue with 2 coats Seche Vite in shade. I like these bottles because it gives you that giant white thing to hold onto to paint with. Makes it easier for me. The brush is pretty good too, it's the plain round one, but it serves it's purpose. I love how pastel this color is. Not too harsh, but still definitely yellow. I got tons of compliments on it as well. Very summery, or springy too. These would make good Easter themed nails.
Full sun. Love, love, love it!

Models Own: Lilac Dream
How awesome is this color? I have to admit, I wasn't that exited about this shade when I saw it on swatches because it looked too pink. But once I got it on, I love it! It is on the pink side of lilac, but it's very flattering. Some lilacs tend to look dusty and that makes your skin look pale, but this is vibrant and warm. This is 2 coats Models Own Lilac Dream with Milani Hi-Res for the dots. Topped with 2 coats Seche Vite. Application was very smooth and easy, great coverage, no cuticle drag. Very dreamy if I do say so myself. And to top it all off, this pic is after 4 days of wear. There's some tip wear, but no chipping. Pretty darn good. I will definitely go to this color again soon.

Models Own: Peacock Green
I was soooooo excited for this color. I saw a couple other bloggers post it and fell in love. This was actually my whole purpose for my Models Own haul!
So pretty! This is Models Own Peacock Green. It looks really blue here, but it looks more teal in real life. Such a gorgeous color. It's shimmery and eye-catchingly beautiful! I didn't even do any art, it didn't need it. I did throw on a holo top coat after a day just because I had messed up a finger and didn't want to take it all off, haha. I definitely love this shade. Application was a bit rough on the first coat. This is 3 coats topped with Seche Vite. It all evened out in the end.

Models Own
So I was jealous of all the posts I saw of Model's Own polish. I live in the USA, so it's not a local thing for me. I finally took a leap and ordered a few... ok, a bunch. Anyway, talk about a mood-lifter! I saw this box and got all giddy despite my sadness.
oooo... pretty!
From left to right... Pastel Pink, Lemon Meringue and Lilac Dream which was the Ice Cream set I believe. And then Beth's Blue which I've wanted since I saw it on Lacquerized (where I also saw Lemon Meringue and a couple others).
Mixed Up, Disco Mix and Purple Grey
...and the one I wanted most... Peacock Green! So exciting! I wanted to put them all on immediately, but I don't think they would make a good look all together, lol. I will definitely be using these soon.
